The Marshall County Agency on Aging has served the residents of Marshall County since 1975.  In 1974 the voters of Marshall County voted to establish a Mill Levy for the Aging Program of Marshall County.  In January of 1975 the Aging Program began as a transportation service for the elderly only. Today the transportation program is available to the general public, regardless of age.

In January of 1980 the Nutrition Meal Program began with a HUD pilot project establishing the Nutrition Site in Frankfort.  Nutrition sites were added in Marysville in August and in Blue Rapids in October.  All three sites are still active, serving lunch Monday through Friday.  The Meals on Wheels program was started by the Monday Volunteers in 1974 and became a part of the Aging Program in 1975.

The Agency on Aging supports and encourages healthy independent living for Seniors in our county, and provides matching funds for the Senior Care Act Program.  Please see the LINKS section for additional information on all of our programs.
