General Public Transportation

Our transportation service is available to anyone in Marshall County, regardless of age or disability, and can be used for any purpose (work, medical, grocery shopping, recreation, etc.).  Transportation service is funded through Federal Transit Administration, Kansas Department of Transportation, and local funding from Marshall County,

Rides are provided within Marysville every weekday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  We also have regularly scheduled pick ups in surrounding communities and offer several out of county destinations.  Our fleet of vehicles includes two passenger buses (including one wheelchair accessible bus) and two minivans.  Riders should call at least one day in advance to schedule a ride.  Fares and routes are listed below.



Fares:  $1.50 per stop for all in-county trips (Example: From home to store and return home = $3.00; add $1.50 for each additional stop)

In County Routes:

Every Weekday - Pick up in Marysville, Beattie and Home City

Monday - Pick up in Blue Rapids and Waterville

Tuesday - Pick up in Frankfort, Vermillion and Axtell

Wednesday - In county pick ups as requested

Thursday Morning - Trips within Frankfort

Thursday Afternoon - Trips within Blue Rapids and Waterville area

Friday - Pick ups in Bremen, Herkimer and Oketo

 

Out of County Routes and Fares

Manhattan - Every Wednesday ($30)

Junction City - Once per month as requested ($35)

Topeka - 1st Thursday & 4th Tuesday of the month ($35)

Lincoln - 1st Monday & 3rd Thursday of the month ($35)

Seneca - 2nd Friday & 4th Monday of the month ($25)

Beatrice - Once per month as requested ($25)

All trips must be requested in advance.  Buses will not travel to other communities if no riders have called in advance to schedule trips.
